"Camilla said she wanted to do the hair up and make it a little strict`bitchy' was the word she used," Neil Moodie, lead hairstylist for Staerk's spring 2009 show, says of the designer. "There's a slight feel of bondage in the collection, and the hair has that same strictness. I just wanted to do something different than the conventional bun you see all the time."
For a sleek look, Moodie sprayed Bb. Tonic Lotion on damp tresses ("the tea tree oil in the product makes hair look naturally slick and not overly done") and created a deep side part that "goes into a center part at the back." Next, he fashioned two low ponytails and twisted them in on themselves, pinning the resulting chignon in place. "We tried to create a rectangular shape instead of a round shape as an alternative to the usual," says Moodie.
