Reese Witherspoon isn't afraid to walk the line: In 2007, she wowed with blunt bangs, last summer she made chin-length locks covetable, and at yesterday's London premiere of Monsters vs. Aliens she mastered the tricky-yet-trendy center part. As on Oscar night, Witherspoon softened the dramatic look by keeping locks soft and away from her face. "Plastering hair down around a center part is rarely flattering," says Guido, Redken's creative consultant, who suggests balancing a strong part line with tousled tresses or loose waves like Witherspoon's.
