Even though Tomei didn't nab a Best Supporting Actress statue, she was a winner on the red carpet: "I saw her dress and it had all this beautiful movementvery clean lines," says Adir Abergel of Frédéric Fekkai, who styled Tomei's hair. "I wanted to incorporate the twists and turns of her gown, but also have the hairstyle be more soft and textured, and not too structural." To begin, Abergel applied Fekkai More All Day Density Styling Whip to roots and Fekkai Coiff Perfecteur Anti-Frizz Silkening Crème from roots to ends. After blow-drying hair with a round brush, he hand-raked hair and used clips to secure strands into random twists and turns. Once achieving the desired look, he removed the clips and substituted pins in their place, allowing Tomei's side bangs to fall just over her eye. "It's all about not thinking too much," Abergel says of the look, adding, "It was such a simple hairstyleit literally took me three to four minutes to put it up."
