"Vibrant shadows look great with black," says makeup maestro Pat McGrath, who used onyx eye shadow and soft black pencil to make Cover Girl's emerald eye shadow smolder at the Issa spring 2010 show. Inspired by tropical storms and lush-colored jungle landscapes, McGrath finished the layered look with a touch of gold along the inner corners, a dash of turquoise on the outer edges, and "lots of mascara."
