Day 7: 3.1 Phillip Lim
Hair at 3.1 Phillip Lim got a dose of Debbie-Harry-cool, and I'm enraptured by it. "We're doing fluffy hair inspired by Blondie," said hair master Odile Gilbert about the retro-glam dos. "Girls are getting their hair blow-dried and flipped out, no matter how long or short their hair is." Emily Hebert, ELLE.com Associate Beauty Editor
Day 6: Tibi
We see a little too much straight hair on the runways, so I'm thrilled that hair wizard Kevin Ryan waved his magic curling wand to create the tight ringlets and loose waves at Tibi. Emily Dougherty, ELLE Beauty Director
Day 6: Vera Wang
I've always shied away from teasing my hair, but the pumped-up bouffant at Vera Wang has inspired me to pick up a comb. I like how the style is structured yet still soft and touchable. Emily Hebert, ELLE.com Associate Beauty Editor
Day 6: Mulberry
I've long been in awe of back-combed '60s bombshell hairyes, I've even considered buying Bumpits to increase the altitude of my despondently lank locksso I'm loving the wackadoo bouffants at Mulberry. If there's any possible way that I too can look like a just-escaped-from-the-Wolfman Brigitte Bardot, I'm all for it. Bring on the hairspray! (Another thing I loved about this show? One of the models walked a sweater-wearing bulldog.) April Long, ELLE Senior Beauty Editor
Day 5: Marc Jacobs
I loved how the mussed, slept-in-looking hair acted as a counterpoint to the subdued, elegant silhouettes of the clothing at Marc Jacobs. Anything that reinforces the idea that it's perfectly okay to look like you stayed out all night is fine by me. April Long, ELLE Senior Beauty Editor
Day 5: Tracy Reese
Up until about age 8, I had a mass of unruly ringlets. I remember being thankful when my hair spontaneously straightened out (no more getting teased for having "messy" corkscrews). But in recent years, I've found myself craving my long-lost curlswhich is why I was completely mesmerized by the look that TRESemmé hairstylist Jeanie Syfu crafted for the Tracy Reese show. C'est magnifique! Emily Hebert, ELLE.com Associate Beauty Editor
Day 5: Carolina Herrera
There has been a notable anti-straightening-iron movement on red carpets and runways for the past few years, in favor of more natural-looking textures; but I'm definitely digging hairstylist Orlando Pita's Jackie O.esque, sleek do for Carolina Herrera (the perfect show for such sophistication). Maura Lynch, ELLE Associate Beauty Editor
Day 4: DKNY
I tend to wear my hair in a ponytail more often than not (when I ran into hairstylist Ted Gibson backstage at a show recently, he threatened to bob my hair if I didn't wear it down more). But I can't help itponies are just so practical and easy. At least now, thanks to the return of the side-pony at DKNY, I can have the best of both worlds and keep hair away from my eyes while still flaunting some loose locks. Bonus: According to Eugene Souleiman, global creative director for Wella Professionals, creator of the elegant DKNY do, the side-swept style complements every face shape by helping to offset imbalances in the facial structure. Emily Hebert, ELLE.com Associate Beauty Editor
Day 4: Lela Rose
I loved the bedheady, quiff-tastic buns at Lela Rose, which reminded me of Brad Pitt in Johnny Suede (no, that's not a bad thing). They had a boozy, wild tinge to them, and, paired with the rock-and-mineral tones of the cocktail dresses, they somehow looked more futuristic than retro. April Long, ELLE Senior Beauty Editor

Day 4: Thakoon
Love the static-tastic, matte waves hairstylist Eugene Souleiman created for Thakoon. It's slightly dressier than bedhead, and sexier. The secret? Tons of hair powder! Maura Lynch, ELLE Associate Beauty Editor
Day 3: Prabal Gurung
First of all, I want Siri Tollerod's haircut, and secondlyhow awesome does her cut look with this futuristic faux-hawk? After designer Prabal Gurung saw her in the full hair and makeup, he wanted all the models to get blunt cuts like her (impossibleagencies would have a field day), because it worked so well with his "aggressive, slightly robotic" idea for the show. Regardless of the fact that not everyone can have Siri's amazing hair, Bumble and Bumble Stylist Jimmy Paul created the look on models with all hair lengths by taking a section of hair from the temples to the crown, teasing it up, brushing it back, and securing it with pins and lots of spray. Day 3: Ohne Titel
Beach waves have been en vogue for awhile now, so it was refreshing to see a different version of tousled tresses at Ohne Titel's show. "It's very rough-looking, very urbanlike a New York girl getting out of a taxi," says hairstylist Jimmy Paul, who used "copious amounts" of Bumble and Bumble Thickening Hairspray and Bb. Surf Spray for a "ropey, sea-salt ocean texture." But instead of reaching for a waver after blow-drying, Paul opted for a flat iron. The result: Straight, textured hair without the '90s feel. Emily Hebert, ELLE.com Associate Beauty Editor
Day 3: Lacoste
The high side-ponies and Lacoste could have skewed too '80s (or too Lady Sovereign), but instead, they had a crisp, cool forward-looking effect. Paired with the bold, smoky eye makeup, they looked sporty, flirty, and fun, in a sort of "I'll beat you at tennis and then drink you under the table later" kind of way. April Long, ELLE Senior Beauty Editor
Day 2: Yigal Azrouël
I love statement-making, severe side parts. Paired with an off-centered loose bun, this style goes easily from day to night. Janna Johnson, ELLE Beauty Assistant

Day 2: Doo.Ri
I adore the fishtail braids created by Orlando Pita backstage at Doo.Ri. After doing a deep side part, he spun the two-section braids into the sides of the models' hair, securing them at the back of the head. Pita says the texture mimics "the beautiful intricacies and draping" of the collection. I already foresee the chic, downtown girls embracing this hairstyle for spring! Day 2: Rag & Bone
Hooray for two-day-old hair! I'm sure that by the end of Fashion Week dry shampoo will be my best friendso I'm all about the bedhead-chic early-'90s-inspired locks at Rag & Bone. Emily Hebert, ELLE.com Associate Beauty Editor

Day 1: Jen Kao
I've always been drawn to the idea of blunt bangs, but I have yet to pull them off. Inevitably, they stick haphazardly to my forehead (or divide down the middle) and growing them out is no fun. But after seeing the perfectly chic, faux fringe at Jen Kao's show today, I was reminded that there is a hassle-free alternative. I can't wait to take Hair Do's clip-on bangs for a test run! Emily Hebert, ELLE.com Associate Beauty Editor
Day 1: BCBG Max Azria
Love these low chignons! They look perfectly nonchalant but actually have a function: In the warmer months, there's nothing chic about long hair on a sweaty neck. The stick-straight fringe in the bun also pairs nicely with the somewhat graphic clothing, but, really, this is hair for anywhere. Maura Lynch, ELLE Associate Beauty Editor

Day 1: Ports 1961
The mix of textures in this stylefrom tight curls and looser waves to yes, even frizz and flyawayslooks effortlessly cool and ultra fresh. Janna Johnson, ELLE Beauty Assistant

Day 1: L.A.M.B.
What is it about bangs that can look so sweet yet so subversive? While I'm not so much a fan of L.A.M.B.'s Goth-gone-mod makeup, I'm smitten with the Betty PagemeetsZooey DeschanelmeetsTracy Lords in Cry Baby above-the-brow bangs and long, loose waves. This is pretty much the ultimate, retro rock 'n' roll hairstyle100 percent I'm-with-the-band cool. April Long, ELLE Senior Beauty Editor
Day 2: Jason Wu
A nifty way to wear a messy-dressy bun: Put it in a cage! Using Aveda products, stylist Odile Gilbert created an effect of pretty bondage at Jason Wu by wounding bits of cord around twisted-back hair. I love that it looks slightly Victorian but also supermodern. April Long, ELLE Senior Beauty Editor
