"James Coviello was inspired by exuberant graphic patterns and the eclectic style of the early-twentieth-century arts and crafts movement," says hairstylist Rodney Cutler, who crafted the look for Coviello's fall 2009 show. "To complement the clothing, we created soft, beautiful waves with a strong side part to give that classic vibe."
First, Cutler misted his Volumizing Spray onto damp hair. Next, he used a large round brush in conjunction with the Izunami Agile Hair Dryer to add volume. After fashioning spirals with a one-inch curling iron, Cutler smoothed strands across the front and pinned at the temple for a retro spin. For soft hold he finished with Redken Workforce 09 Flexible Volumizing Spray.
